Keep up-to-date with Donald's hectic life!
7/31/09-Just finished playing the Payne Stewart/Bass Pro Championship. The course was wet and soggy making it play longer than usual. Played consistant all three rounds with scores of 74, 72, 73 placing T13. Thanks to everyone, including Thomas, Ben, Parker and his father, Coach Rick, mom and dad that came out to support and watch me play. Got to play with some very nice guys and great golfers from all over the nation. The highlight of the tournament was when Coach Rick offered to loan me an original hat worn by Payne Stewart during one of his U.S. Open Championships. I jumped at the opportunity and went on to play a fun and well played last round. I am pleased with the results of my first AJGA Open event and looking forward to heading to Oklahoma for another AJGA Qualifier in the morning.

7/20/09-Just got home from playing the AJGA qualifier in Kansas City. Weather was great and I liked the course. I had a good warm-up session. Hit most of the fairways and greens, could have been sharper on my chipping and putting. Didn't play great on the front, but made up for it with a good back nine. Shot a 76, missed the cut by one stroke. I think with some practice on my short game, I'll be at the top of my game for the AJGA/Bass Pro @ Rivercut next week.

| 7/15/09- This is for you Coach Rick! Played a practice round yesterday @ Rivercut. Preparing for the AJGA tournament in a couple of weeks. Played pretty good, shot a 74. Felt like my swing was solid: worked on putting alot. Got to play with my friend Thomas B., it was a blast! Haven't been playing very good last couple of weeks, but I think my game is finally coming back around. Looking forward to the Kansas City AJGA Qualifier this weekend and upcoming events. __________________________________________________________________ 2/19/09 In the irons, I tried the AP1’s and the AP2’s. The AP1’s felt good, but the forged AP2’s just felt better and the look fit my eye a bit more. The wedges, I tried the Bob Vokey Spinmilled wedges. I love the feel and spin I got with them and decided on getting a 52 degree, 56 degree and 60 degree. I’m thinking about getting a 64 degree also, but haven’t yet. Overall, I think I have a great set of clubs and I can’t wait to see how I play this season. |
